Hello! Today I want to talk to you about an interesting study that was recently published. It is about the use of CBD products in children with cerebral palsy (CP).

Background

A significant proportion of children with cerebral palsy use CBD products to alleviate the symptoms of their condition. This is the result of a survey published in the specialist journal “Orthopedics”.

The study

Researchers at Stanford University asked caregivers of children with CP about their use of CBD products. The result? 17% of respondents stated that their children consume CBD. CBD has been most commonly used in children to relieve spasticity, anxiety and pain. The best thing about it? The majority of respondents reported that their children had no negative effects from CBD treatment.

Key findings

Caregivers believe that CBD offers some benefits, particularly in the areas of emotional health, spasticity and pain. The authors of the study concluded: “CBD could be a useful supplement for some children with CP, particularly those with more severe symptoms.”
